This salvia typically blooms from late spring to early summer and can rebloom in the fall in the spent flowers are deadheaded. While it can tolerate some shade, it thrives in full sun and prefers well-drained soil. It is relatively drought-tolerant once established. Great for planting in perennial borders, pollinator gardens and even mass plantings as an accent. They require regular water, especially during dry spells, and can benefit from applying fertilizer annually in the spring. Attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer resistant.
