Prairie Dropseed is a fine-textured, ornamental grass with arching leaves. Blooming from late summer to early fall, its subtle flowers transition to golden and orange hues in autumn. It prefers full sun and is quite adaptable to poor soil conditions, including dry and rocky. It's noted for being drought tolerant and for its ability to withstand urban pollution. Great for naturalized areas, native plant gardens and ground cover. Quite low-maintenance, cutting it back in late winter can will encourage fresh growth. Deer resistant.
