Little Kitten is one of the dwarf varieties of Maiden Grass that maintains a tidy, clump-forming habit and has a graceful, fine-textured appearance. It produces delicate feathery plumes in late summer to early fall that start off with a silver hue and can transition to a creamy white. Full sun encourages the best growth and well-drained soil is essential to prevent root rot or other moisture issues. Due to its size, 'Little Kitten' is ideal for planting in borders, small gardens and containers without overwhelming the space. Its plumes are also popular dried flower arrangements, adding both texture and wispy elements to bouquets. This grass requires occasional watering. Cutting back the foliage to a few inches off the ground in late winter can also promote new growth. Deer resistant.
