Kleine Fontane is a smaller, more compact variety of Maiden Grass with an upright, fountain-like form. This variety features narrow, arching green leaves that form a dense clump, and in late summer to early fall, it produces striking coppery-pink flower plumes that transition to silver as they age. Best grown in full sun and well-drained soil, 'Kleine Fontane' adapts well to various soil types, including sandy and clay soils. This grass is ideal for adding vertical interest to garden spaces, suitable for border planting or container gardening.
