Dixieland is a versatile ornamental grass with arching green leaves with horizontal bands of creamy white. In late summer to early fall, it produces copper-coloured flowers that turn silver as the season progresses. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. It's popular in borders and for creating privacy screens due to its height, and it's a great choice for adding texture to gardens. It needs regular watering. Cutting it back a few inches above the ground, before new growth begins, also encourages fresh growth and maintains a tidy appearance. Deer resistant.
