Chameleon is named for its changing colours throughout the seasons. It has narrow leaves that transition from green with pinkish hues in spring to more pronounced blues, purples and finally coppery tones in fall. It produces subtle, fluffy seed heads in late summer to fall. This plant prefers full sunlight and is adaptable to a wide range of soil types, including poor soils. Used for meadows, borders, prairies gardens and even erosion control. Very low maintenance. Attracts birds which feed on its seeds. Deer resistant.
