Helen Von Stein features large, velvety, silver-gray leaves that are soft to the touch, resembling the ears of a lamb. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. It's quite drought tolerant once established. Ideal for borders, ground covers, and rock gardens. Can be used to soften edges long pathways or garden beds. Very low maintenance. If the plant does produce flower stalks (rarely) they can be trimmed back and removing old leaves in the spring can promote healthy growth.
