Godzilla is known for its size and the dramatic flair it adds to gardens. It features silver, green and purple fronds that give it a painted appearance and spread more broadly than other varieties. Like other ferns, it prefers moist, well-drained soil and partial to full shade. The colors of its fronds are most vibrant when the plant is not exposed to direct sunlight which makes it excellent for shaded borders, in woodland gardens or underneath trees. It can be beneficial to mulch as it helps retain soil moisture and keep the roots cool. Dividing the plant every few years can also help maintain its vigor and control its spread. Deer resistant.
