Junior Walker is a compact perennial featuring soft, gray-green foliage with a slight fuzzy texture. From late spring to early fall, it produces an abundance of lavender-blue flowers that form spikes above the foliage. It thrives in full sun and prefers well-drained soil. Great for rock gardens, borders and as ground cover. After regular watering in the first growing season to establish a deep root system, it becomes quite drought tolerant too. This makes it fairly low maintenance, although it does benefit from being cut back after the first flowering to encourage a dense habit and a second bloom. Attracts bees and butterflies. Deer resistant.
