Our potted plants and fresh flowers are available to pickup from our nursery - we are not able to ship those at this point in time. We also provide local delivery in the Oceanside and North Nanaimo area for our potted plants. We are able to ship bare root roses (February) & bare root peonies (October) to anyone in gardening zone 7 and above in BC. We also ship fall bulbs (October), Lilly Bulbs (March/April), Dahlias (March/April) & Canna Lillies (March/April) to anyone across Canada via courier. You will find these items in the group ordering section of our website (Group Orders | Lakeside Garden Nursery). You can gain access by submitting your email address at the bottom of the page and a password will be emailed to you.

If you live in Canada, you know that shipping isn't cheap. We ship different items via courier at different times during the year (See above "Do you ship?" for more information about what we ship). Shipping costs are based on the item(s) that you order. Depending on what you order, you may see multiple shipping charges to your account at checkout. Here's a breakdown of shipping costs: Items that ship out in spring (Canna Lilies, Dahlias, Lily Bulbs): $24.95 Items that ship out in fall (Fall Bulbs & Bare Root Peonies): $24.95 Items that ship out in Feburuary/March (Bare Root Roses): $24.95 Each group of items will incur separate shiping charges... So for example, if you order $30 worth of Canna Lilies & $20 worth of Lily Bulbs (both ship out together in spring), $30 worth of Tulip Bulbs (they ship out in fall) and $185 worth of Bare Root Roses, your shipping total will be: - $24.95 (for the combined canna lily and lily bulb shipment), plus - $24.95 (for the fall tulip bulbs) and - $24.95 (for the roses) Make sense?? P.S. If you see a crazy high shipping charge of $300+, it's because you are asking us to ship something that we can't ship. We've added this super high shipping amount to catch your eye to remind you that we are not able to ship potted plants - they are available for pickup at the nursery and local delivery only. This saves us both the hassel of having to cancel your order.

We are open to welcome you to the nursery on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays 9am - 3pm. The cutting gardens are open for "u-pick" Wednesday evenings 7pm - 8pm and Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays 9am - 11am usually from March/April through September. Check our Facebook page for the latest updates on "u-pick" hours. The flower stand is stocked for self-serve on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from late June through October (weather dependent). Everything we grow at the nursery, we grow ourselves... either from seed, cutings, division or tiny baby plant starts that we grow to full size. It's how we can offer such healthy, happy plants at such great prices!

We start EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. from seed! That's one of the reasons we are so proud of our cutting gardens. They are a labour of love, but well worth it for the joy that they bring.
